Salary: $32 - $45 / hr
Key Points of the Position:
- 3+ years minimum experience
- 75% commercial contracts
- No sales quota or membership sales
- Nights, weekends, and on call shifts required
- A truck, gas card, and tools provided
Position Summary: As a Licensed Service Plumber, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential and commercial properties. You will work closely with clients to address their plumbing needs, provide expert advice, and ensure customer satisfaction. This position requires exceptional technical skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work independently while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Service Plumber Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive inspections, diagnoses, and repairs of plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, faucets, toilets, water heaters, and drainage systems.
- Install, maintain, and upgrade plumbing components and systems, ensuring compliance with local plumbing codes and regulations.
- Collaborate with clients to identify their plumbing requirements, provide accurate cost estimates, and offer suitable solutions.
- Troubleshoot plumbing issues and develop effective repair strategies to resolve problems efficiently and minimize downtime.
- Utilize a wide range of tools, equipment, and materials to perform plumbing tasks with precision and efficiency.
- Conduct routine maintenance procedures to prevent plumbing failures and extend the lifespan of plumbing systems.
- Respond to emergency plumbing calls promptly and resolve issues in a timely manner, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, on a rotational basis.
- Keep abreast of industry advancements, new plumbing techniques, and relevant codes to enhance technical knowledge and expertise.
- Maintain accurate records of all completed jobs, including detailed descriptions of work performed, materials used, and hours worked.
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring clear communication with clients, addressing their concerns, and ensuring their satisfaction with the provided services.
Service Plumber Requirements:
- Valid plumbing license issued by the State of Texas.
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a plumbing apprenticeship program is preferred.
- Proven experience as a licensed plumber, with a focus on service and repair work.
- Sound knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and best practices.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting plumbing systems and resolving issues effectively.
- Strong technical skills, including the ability to operate plumbing tools, equipment, and machinery.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor and work in various conditions (confined spaces, heights, etc.).
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
